Another DIY- double stack intake manifold
Well here is my ds intake mani. I put all my sweat and blood into it and it runs perfect. pulls pretty hard above 4000 rpm untune. i will just post pics right now since its late.
Setup:
Crower Stage 3 cams
Rocket motorsports springs and retainers
KMS high flow oil pump
DSM 450cc injectors
PLX-M300 wideband
Tools used:
sawall
cut off wheel
electric drill with the kms 8 inch mandrel porting kit for the lower intake runners
dremel
sand paper
3 iab gaskets
blacktrax double stack bolt kit

yes i know my vss is bad...

not sure only dynoed it once and that was when i first put the cams in. made 161 whp and 147 tq with a base map with crome and tuned with a afc. will clean up op and give some insight on how to do it later. have to help a friend get his motor started and he has the same setup i do minus the intake mod and he's using oe h22 pistons.

Now im running higher compression and using ectune. will clean up op and give some insight on how to do it later. have to help a friend get his motor started and he has the same setup i do minus the intake mod and he's using oe h22 pistons.
yea those dyno numbers were when i just put the cams in. Thanks to pirate for the rom to get me to the dyno. Still running the stock compression. Waiting for the bottom end to give out so i can put the jdm h22 pistons in. i have an extra h23 block, crank, main bearings, rod bearings, arp rod bolts, rings... the lower assembly just wont die no matter how hard i run it. But i am having one problem since i did the double stack. I will let the car heat up to normal operating temperatures drive around for a good hour than gun it and a massive misfire will appear. i mean like all 4 cylinders. pull to the side of the road turn the car off. wait a couple seconds turn it back on and runs fine until 3-4 minutes of driving later the misfire comes back. my wideband gauge reads rich when it misfires. I have replaced the dizzy, cap, rotor, wires and plugs. the engine doesnt throw any codes just get a solid cel. so maybe a bad tps or maybe my plx wideband sensor is going bad? oh and i dynoed it on a dynojet

A tune would probably help. I would think you've altered the entire flow of the intake.
Post an air fuel ratio chart, or describe your A/F. It should be leaning out more with the intake as you have done it should it not?. Could be leaning out soo bad before and up to partial throttle when you punch it (wot)though theres a huge spike in air...so the ecu compensates by dumping a crap load of fuel which will show that rich reading. Just guessing. Deffinitely an interesting scenerio

We're all full interior with minor mods, and pretty similar altitude/temps at the dynos.
Mine is around 3010 without driver. I can get it down to 2940 by removing subs, spare, and all but I still add 200lbs when i get in it. Us accord guys don't strip interior or do anything special since we're still driving grocery getters. We're all right around 3150lbs +/- 20lbs with driver at the track.
just weighed my stock 4door accord lx auto no weight reductiom(2880)
my 4th gen weighed around 2800 stock with minor stuff removed
both weights are w/o driver

part throttle afr is 12ish. My buddy has a chipped po6 ecu and was nice enough to let me use it for a couple days since his car is down. Misfire gone well so far. no more solid cel. Tonight i will go driving around since there will be less traffic. Now remember im not the best at tuning so any advice will help alot. Still using crome roms which sucks because crome support is dead now. Im teaching myself to tune with ectune right now. cant get the car to idle with it. I think its because i havent synced the timing with the software.
well took it out lastnight with my buddies chipped p06 ecu. Cruised around for awhile and did a couple of WOT pulls and no misfire. guess it was my ecu. for sure i need to tune it. if you guys want more pics lemme know.

i purchased 2 intake spacers from blacktrax too. I need get some other stuff, and i see what #'s i can push out of my h22 with these spacers and other mods.
If your gonna drive it still occasionally pull your spark plugs once and a while and make sure you arn't having any fueling troubles like running lean. Your plugs will look white if you at any point are running lean. If you do see any indications than you better stop driving it and wait to tune it.
Deffinitely don't pull too many wots untuned man

well like i said before for the people that cannot read im waiting for my new chipped ecu since my old one died. I have a wideband so i know what my afr is all the time. oh and i got all the intake parts for free. Found a h23 intake mani at a local pick n steal and used the iab spacer that was on my car for the second one. The only thing i bought was the blacktrax double stack bolt kit. and again for the people that cannot read i will be tuning with crome pro 1.5.3 with hulog.
