Default EXEDY clutch ............

i'm in the middle of installation of an exedy racing clutch. it's a heavy duty pressure plate w/organic disc. i just took out my stock clutch, but haven't had time to install the new one because it's kinda late. now, i have a question... i'm leaving my stock flywheel in there because i don't have money to buy a lighter one. do i have to resurface the stock one? or can i just leave it as is. i measured it and the wear seems to be very little to none, and even (to 5-7 100th's of an inch). what is tolerable?
also, do you guys have any pointers? i'm doing this for the first time in my lude. i've changed it once on my crx but it was a combo of a clutch and lightweight flywheel so i just did everything by their specs.
any help is appreciated. thank you.

I've always heard you should resurface when installing a new clutch so that the flywheel and clutch seat properly. I'm not sure how "bad" it would be to do it in your case, but if it was me, I'd still get it resurfaced.

actually, they recomend that none of that should be done, and that i should consider buying a new OEM flywheel or the lightweight exedy one which they don't even offer for my car. so, i don't know what to do...
any other suggestions????

Are you 100% sure of that?? My Clutch Masters cluch comes with the specs the flywheel should be resurfaced to. The only reason why you'd want to change out the flywheel (other than the weight benifit) is if the surface friction area is well worn down since the OEM one isn't replaceable. I think it's only Exedy's way of getting the "best fit" possible and using all brand new parts so they're not responsible if you don't do it. Go with the Fidanza (CM is a Fidanza just more expensive) flywheel if you do decide to go with it. If not, just make sure that you go to a GOOD shop that will give your guarantees on the install in writing.
