Consulting the rule book of the sanction body you are going to be running in should be the first place you look.

This PDF (see page 15 on down) will provide some really good information on how to mount your harness correctly.

that really helped me decide where to mount the shoulder harnesses, im going to use wrap around on the roll bar

as for the lap belts? where is every1 else mounting theirs?
i read online that your supposed to mount them 2 the cage, and also i read that you are supposed to mount them 2-3 inches infront of the vertial position of the seat.

i searched the gingerman web site and i didnt find it helpfull at all

The stock inner belt location won't be possible, as the buckle is attached to the seat. Most people drill a hole in the "transmission tunnel" and mount there, back far enough so that the belt has to come forward to you. On the outer lapbelt, some people (myself included) use the lower stock location. Others drill a hole in the floor. The fifth point should be obvious: hole in the floor. Just be careful not to drill through any brake or fuel lines, or into your exhaust.Note: I've never heard of someone mounting lapbelts to the cage, and I'm not sure how that would work exactly. Most lapbelts aren't long enough to reach the plane of the main hoop, even if you had a low bar there for them to attach to. They are also typically not the "wrap-around" style. Doesn't mean it isn't possible, but I've never seen it.
