Default skunk2 tuner stg 1 with supertech valvesprings

i have a stock b16a2. im planning to get a skunk2 tuner stage 1 camshaft with tuner series valvespring and using back my stock retainer. my question is ,is it alright(safe) for my set up to go 9k?
i was also offered a supertech valvespring to go with my tuner stg1 cams, is this a good idea?

WHY are you wanting to rev to 9k with that setup?

Evidently, you don't understand much about cam design if you're asking these questions....

i do not choose to go 9k. im just afraid at times i might over rev. DO the stage 1 make power at 9k? or tell me whats the rev limit i should set.

they make peak power around 8500 given you have a good bolt-on setup going for you. when you tune the cams your tuner will set the best redline for you, and if your not tuning it don't even bother with any major mods.

With a proper tune, over revving won't be an issue.

Tuner 1s don't make power much past 8400 RPM. So, revving to 9k won't be something you'll be doing on purpose -- redline should be set below that.

Supertech makes a quality product. They should mate well with the Stage 1s.

If you don't already have Springs & Retainers, think about going w/ Skunk2. There are good things about using valvetrain all from the same company as your cams. (Good for warranty, etc). If you already have Supertech VT, you'll be just fine

Ok thx a lot C_rock. WOnt the supertech valvesprings be too stiff for the stage 1 cam?i heard that it will cause rocker arm to wear out if its too stiff.
So tuner cam with tuner valvespring and stock stock retainer shud be fine.?

Valve length and spring pad determine installed height, retainer has to do with r2s clearance.

I've read about max lift of valvespring. I need some enlightenment. I read tat its safe to have at least 0.6 clearance in case overrev. And tat if there is too much lift left in d valvespring there might be accelerated wear in d lma. Say tuner cam is at intake 11.5mm exhaust 10.8mm and d valvespring are rate at 13.4m. Means to say on intake i have a clearance of 1.6mm and on d exhaust i hv 2.6mm. Wouldn't tat cause d rocker arm to wear out quickly? I read skunk2 says valvetrain recommended on stage 1 tuner cams. Comments any1?
