Ok so i just picked up a 95 integra ls. Timing belt shredded when the water pump went out. I pulled off the head and the valves and pistons have got a ton of carbon built up on them (156,000 miles) but i couldnt see anywhere that the pistons hit the valves. From searches i have done it sounds like when the timing belt goes out it usually takes out a valve or two? What should i look for on the head and pistons? Or is it something that i should take to the machine shop and have them measure? Thanks guys

 

If you don't know what your looking for you should have brought it to a reputable shop already.
