It's a pretty straight forward swap. All the mounts should line up perfectly. Get a Helms, it'll be your best friend during the swap! :D

Use your old H23a wiring harness. You'll need to run the VTEC solenoid/pressure switch yourself. OR, if you're lucky, your car came with the VTEC wires already wired in. I heard most 93-95 Ludes came with the wires already in. But check for yourself first.

Also, the exhaust won't fit...so you'll need to get the header/B pipe welded to your cat. Other than that, it's pretty basic. Like I said, get a Helms, it'll take you through it step by step.

Thanks heaps for your help!!!
now just one more question (and excuse me for being naive) but WTF is a Helms?
I assume it is a book or manual or something...

Oh and Do you think i will need to swap the gearbox?

Thanks again, you are a GOD!

Helm Inc.

As for the transmission, you can re-use your H23a transmission, or get an H22a tranny for better acceleration as the gears are designed for the H22's powerband.

Thanks again, that info was most insightful.

Do you know someone who has done this swap? I am keen to find out how the performance of the hybrid compares to a true VTi-R... I would assume it would be about the same.

cheers

Whoa! I just noticed that you're not from the States. Okay, so maybe the Helm's manual might be a little different for you.

Anyways, my H22a4 equipped 4G pulls pretty nice. I have still to run it at the tracks, but after a few more "adjustments", I'll get some times in.

And I would expect it to perform the same as any other VTEC equipped vehicle.
