These products are used by a head porter here in Puert Rico and I wanted to get feedback from anyone running their springs and retainers before investing.

i had used their stainless steel valves in a ported head i had 5-6 years ago. never had any valve issues. they looked and performed well.

i don't know about their springs or retainers. I'm sure they are just as good as most others out there. alot of the springs and retainers are made by the same manufacturer then boxed and labeled differently.

SI Valves from So. Cal. makes great valves for the price. I've used their swirl polished valves on several GSR builds and haven't had an issue yet. In fact, a very very reputable builder here on H-T uses them.

Interested in knowing who that builder is so I can make my decision. Thanks!

I know DonF has used them in the past. He actually suggested them to me on a Daily Driver project I'm working on (Just rebuilding an F23).

Yes, Mr. Flores suggested them to me. He suggested them for a build I'm putting together for my neigbor's turbo'ed LS. The SI valves are good for the price.

$hit Bro....from what I've gathered, you can almost anything Don says about parts as pretty much gospel. I don't think you can go wrong w/ those valves...or anything else he suggests.

We all know he doesn't mince words about parts he thinks do well......and will DEFINITELY tell you if they're crap!

Thanks guys and I agree that if DonF suggests them, they are a good product. I have a PM into him about the springs and retainers though because those are the items I am interested in and not the valves.

Well another local builder here in central cali introduced me to SI valves about 6 years ago. Like I said, I've used them in several GSR builds w/o any problems. So when Mr. Flores recently suggested them, I was even more confident in their products. To the OP, SI valves is pretty known here in Cali, they make lots of valvetrain parts for lots of race crews and they have a good reputation, so hopefully their springs and rets are made with the same quality as their valves.

Damn, I apologize...I missed that you were asking about the Springs and Retainers and not the valves.

Really, I'd think they're more than likely a quality product. Speaking from experience, most headporters don't use junk parts. Don, Rocket, Brad from RLZ...they all port heads....and will tell you quickly what parts they like and which ones they don't like. I'd hazard to say if the guy doing your work likes them, then you're going to be ok.

Let us know what Don says.
