Any Charlotte,NC members here, need help ASAP
First off sorry for a dead topic but I need help.
I am in Charlotte and I'm driving back to Pittsburgh on Monday. Saturday afternoon my check engine light came on. I have taken my car to only one shop since I have owned it and I'm nervous about to taking it to a shop I have no idea what they are about. Can anyone please direct me in the right direction. Also last year I had a bad o2 sensor and I have a feeling it could be that. If so can I drive 500 plus miles with that light on? I plan on going to stop at auto zone and have them check the code. Before the trip down I had oil change, checked plugs, rotor and cap. I did notice when I got down here the back end had more black dust on it than normal. I wasn't sure if this was due to a long trip or it has something to do with the light. I have no tools and no resources here. Please help....

Go to them...My whole family has taken our cars to them for about 8 - 9 years. VERY VERY trustworthy guys. I worked at the place right next to them and know a few of them very well.
Plus, they will call you before they do ANY work...let you know what it costs and if you need it right away.
They are awesome guys.
Let them know you are going headed on a big trip and would like them to just LOOK at the car. They a lot of times can squeeze you in or atleast have someone come out and check the CEL code.
