Default Help:car wont start after testing battery!

I was testing a battery that I had laying around my house to see if it was still good. So it was dark outside and I remove the old one and put in the one that was laying around my house. Next thing I knew sparks was coming from where the contact point was. I took a closer look and I have touch it on the wrong sides. -/+ +/-. But I only touch in for a second. So I got into the car and crank it up, and nothing happen. I put in my old battery and still nothing happen.

So, I think i fried something, but I dont know what? any suggestions?

thanks

Carefully check for blown fuses in the under-hood fuse box. If necessary, use a multimeter to check for continuity of each fuse.
