So i have a 96 civic coupe. I was it has the D17y7 and i was wondering would the mini swap to a D17y8 be worth it for a low budget.

 

you can swap the head on for prob 100 bucks for the head and pick up the gaskets for short money too but the prob you run into is that the y8 has a knock sensor on it w/out it vtec wont work you can convert over to odb1 buy buying a jumper harness there like 75 shiped off ebay and run the p28 since they have no knock sensor
