Default valve cover vent idea, endyne catch can issue.

hey guys i have a b18c1 thats making right at 500 whp, and i have the notorious endyne catch can that likes to puke at the track, my valve cover is not vented other then the stock little port, would venting it more help with the endyne issue? i researched it and seems any one going fast has the same issue with the endyne. any way my idea is has any one ever tried to vent the valve cover threw the oil fill cap rather then weld on bungs? sort of like a old school v8 has the breathers on the valve covers but i would run it to a catch can rather then atmosphere. my valve cover is powder coated and i dont want to have to grind and weld and get re coated if i can simply design something threw the valve covers oil fill cap.

I actually just saw a oil cap just like you are speaking of in an old Summit catalog. I thought about making one to fit a Honda valve cover but I'm unsure about Patent rights and what not. I may make one for myself at some point. The cap has baffling and a filter and still looks decent (pretty cool idea). How come the Endyne "pukes"? does it not have a drain back?

apparently its to small and fills faster then it can drain yeah i think i might design a vented oil cap as well.

I'm making 550 & using just endyn & made sure it's up high & easy drain & no kinks, works fine. I also took the stock valve cover & ran that to a breather tank w/ 3/8 hose.
I'd make sure there is a straight short flow to endyn kit & you should be fine.

I am running the endyn can with 10's off the valve cover to the can. Never puked yet, crosses fingers. At 460ish whp.

its only when you use the back of the block hook ups that it pukes, apparently under hard G forces oil climbs the block and is forced threw the lines, if your only going threw the valve cover your fine.

thanks for the link to that oil cap but i already made one today using a stock plastic cap and a 90 degree fitting.

Is Endyne the ebay version?

Endyn is the appropriate spelling....Energy Dynamics shortened.

yea I almost made the mistake of leveing my catch can until I figured out gravity plays a part in a catch can. mine never fills up like yours but then again im at 375-400 horsepower DD setup. sorry i can't help more but maybe relocate it a little higher in your engine bay just keep checking hood clearance

Craig stop being cheap and buy a t1 setup, I know you have the $ ...I forgot to ask you on the phone...Like stated is your catch can up high in the engine bay?

I had the same problem, Endyn can puking under track conditions. I just ran the valve cover vent to a venturi in the exhaust. The harder I push it, the more vacuum it makes, and I get actual positive crankcase ventilation, vice just venting.
