Default Next Gen Civic

Does anyone have any news on the next gen civic? Usually every 5 years they switch it up. I noticed that they are stretching it this time. I really like the facelift on the 09's but I'm curious about what the next gen will be like. More so the powerplant in the next Si.

Idk what Honda will do but I dont think well see a new civic chasis until 12'. They might want to extend the production of this civic another year due to the state of the current economy. These civics seem to sell pretty well and would be a smart move for them IMO but i guess well find out.

Every Civic chassis has sold well for the past 15+ years.

Will we see a new Si in 2010, or will it be in 2011 as a more powerful/slightly more aggressive-looking version of the regular Civic?

The ep3 was 4 years.

It's cause they made it a god-damned sedan.

I see 2 FA5s to every FG2.

Hondas used to be every 4 years. Then 5, then 6, etc.

Recall how long the Integra fans had hope of a new Integra every year prior to the RSX.

I don't remember the post. Some one should have quoted it.

But from patterns of the past, I would say the new Si should be slotted to come out fourth quarter of 2010 as a 2011 model.

Could be worse. I see about 97 slammed hatchbacks with 14 degrees of negative camber to every FG2.

Type R would be nice. Like the one they had in Europe. We'll have to wait and see. Honda has been pulling back on the reigns in this economic slowdown. No NSX and nothing has replaced the RSX. Plus that Diesel stuff is on hold now to.

the fact that the rsx and nsx are gone has nothing to do with the economic slowdown; they were both axed when the economy was still ok. the nsx was never really popular to begin with, and the 06+ civic has everything the rsx did and more, for less money.
