Icon3 99 00 Civic retro fit question

Anyone done one of these? I want to get the optimal performance out of my HIDs, so id like any information on maybe retrofitting TSX projector assembly into 99 00 civic housings? about how much $$$ am i looking at spending for something like this?? I want to keep my headlights stock looking, minus projector, but definitely staying away from goofy ebay projector headlights. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks

id say around 500.
tsx's are great, but only have low beam, but with clear lenes the out put is great and have the razor sharp cut-off.

Check out http://www.hidplanet.com/forums/index.php. There are a one or 2 examples of 99-00 Civic headlights being retrofitted with BiXenon projectors. One of the cleanest ones I saw was TL projectors with the TSX lenses. It's one of the ONLY clean looking ones I've seen.

Here's a pic:

eh completely blacked out housings look a bit weird to me. He should have at least left the bezels around the projector lens as chrome.

here is a picture of mine:

I used a BMW E46 shroud and Cadillac XLR projectors. I found the projectors and shroud from http://stores.ebay.com/Xenon-Headlights-OEM-HID-Parts
also look at http://stores.ebay.com/Retrofit-Source-HID-Retro-Parts they have really good products

What exactly is the process for retrofitting the projector and the shroud into the civic headlight?

If you properly retrofit using a BiXenon projector, you'll have PLENTY of high-beam!

I like the blk housing but to each his own. I actually like the all blk heads not the ones above. I'm waiting on my stuff to get here so I can do my retrofitting. I love doing projects like this...although it's gonna be hard to focus on doing school work with these projectors in my room. Oh btw does anyone have a spare set of heads they want to sell cheap?

The civic headlights are pretty easy to retrofit because of their large reflector bowls. The way I did it was to pick a smallish projector like the TSX (no high beam btw) and cut a hole in the reflector bowl with a hole saw. Then I used two part epoxy along with some custom made support bits to hold the projector up. I sanded and shaped the hole to better fit the contours of the projector, kind of oval shaped. I glued the projector into the bowl, then powered it up and aimed it before the epoxy set up. There are some good diy on youtube of how to do it.
