Default Civic Type R Fuel Pump question

1. I'm installing a CTR engine soon
2. Engine is not in my possession yet
3. My current fuel pump is bad (using a D16y7 engine)
4 *QUESTION*: can I use the CTR pump with the y7 until I install the CTR?

Thanks...figured I'd make it as simple as possible.

of course you can. a fuel pump is a fuel pump. they are all the same. just different shapes. im not 100% but i believe all 96-00 civic fuel pumps are identical.

The fuel rate is higher on the CTR pump...I didn't know if that would cause overpressure...hence the question.

the rate might be higher on the pump but the regulator is the one controlling the pressure..i believe

I've used the Holley Walbro 255 LPH (67 gallons per hour I believe) pump on a stock D16Y8 for near two years. I threw a rod, but it was unrelated.
