Ok i bought a remote off ebay how do i program it to the car??? its a 04 accord

Programming for 2002 to 2004 Honda Odyssey

When

Remote transmitter added or replaced.
System malfunction.

How

Obtain all remote transmitters.

NOTE: A maximum of 3 remote transmitters can be programmed.

Switch ignition ON.
Proceed as follows:

NOTE: Point remote transmitter at central locking signal control module
(located behind glovebox).

Switch ignition ON. ( Just before actually starting car ) Proceed as follows:
Within 4 seconds: Press LOCK button of first remote transmitter.
Within 4 seconds: Switch ignition OFF.

Within 4 seconds: Switch ignition ON.
Within 4 seconds: Press LOCK button of first remote transmitter.
Within 4 seconds: Switch ignition OFF.

Within 4 seconds: Switch ignition ON.
Within 4 seconds: Press LOCK button of first remote transmitter.
Within 4 seconds: Switch ignition OFF.

Within 4 seconds: Switch ignition ON.
Within 4 seconds: Press LOCK button of first remote transmitter.
The Locks should now cycle. This indicates the car is now in the programming mode
and activated to accept the programming of the remotes.

Within 10 seconds:
Press LOCK button or UNLOCK button of first remote
transmitter, allowing doors to lock and unlock once.

Press LOCK button or UNLOCK button of each remaining remote
transmitter to be programmed, allowing doors to lock and unlock once as
each remote transmitter is programmed.

Switch ignition OFF.
Remove key.
Check operation of all programmed remote transmitters.

 

I have an '05 honda. If you have similar key, you can program the remote lock functions with instruction available on the internet.
If your key has an immobilizer chip , the dealer will have to program the ignition to accept that key. I assume you have to have it cut as well.?

 

take it to the dealer, I just did this with my 08,

go to the service department, some of them will charge other wont depends on the dealer, the thing is there going to charge you whether the key works or not. it is doubtful that they will only cut and program the immobilizer for you unless there friends of yours.

when you go in take all the keys for your car with you, when they program the door locks only the keys present are going to work.

if you can get the key cut and the immobilizer done then follow the steps posted above to program the door lock controls.
