i bought a new cd player for my 4th gen accord, i cant find a way to remove the stock radio, ive tried removing the face plating, but its all one peace, so no luck there, im trying to remove the modling around my shifter, but it wont give, any clues guys? please???

take out the cup holder, 4 screws (if my memory is correct) under there holding the black bezzel (sp) into place.

 

My brother had the same problem in his 97 Accord. We took it to AUDIO EXPRESS and they told us that there is 2 screws behind the dash in the center console that need to come out...IT was a bitch so we didn't do it. We ended up trading the ****** in for a GALANT...LOL GOOD LUCK MAN!

 

yeah, it was a mother-f ing bitch to get to, had to remove all the molding around tehs shifter, all the way back, thats hard to get off with all the screws in hard to reach places, i got 2 the 2 screws, now i cant put them back in, i hate the dash on my accord....

 

with a flexable extension and an 8mm socket on the end of a drill you can reach the 2 screws on the bottem of the radio and you will not have to do any removing of any dash pieces.

 

damn too late, now its keeping the new stock unit in there.
