do any of you use the msd activation switch for your vtec?
it's great, i have a rpm activated switched and then instead of the pills i have the module selector that varies from 4600 to 6800 so i can play with my vtec crossover with the turn of a know
I've been pretty happy with my MSD switch. I have pills 4k-4800 run V-tec a 4k at track and usually run 4600 on roads. Its good for a temporary motor swap because building a B18A swap at the house and didn't want to go with entire ECU swap (wiring changes) seeing will be going with another OBD0 ECU. If you go with the new ECU have to change ECU plugs and distributor. If you go with a Z6 you have to cut the distributor to make it work if you go with the Y8 the Diz will bolt up. Get a Y8 if you can better intake manifold also.

By far, getting the right ECU... hehehe
Problem with a non-VTEC ECU's, is that you don't get the VTEC timing MAPS, to go along with it. When comparing a P6 with P28, the fuel tables are the same with "very" few changes. However, it's when you get to the timing MAPS, it's a whole different story. Same goes with a V-AFC, you can only modify the fuel MAPS per say, not the timing where you need it most.
I am using a Summit's RPM Switch, really can't complain about it, as long as it keeps working...
Go hear for some info... This for a Z6 Mini-Me head swap tho:
