helping a friend, he has a 91 sedan dx, right rear door wont open from inside or outside, think maybe the lock is stuck? how do we get it open ?

 

the child lock is probly on and is the lock peace still there if so take pliers and pull up on the lock wile some one trys to open from the out side

 

I just obtained a 94 with the same problem........hope this works for me also.....J

 

the lock piece that you push down from the inside that locks and unlocks door? if so its all there

 

i have to lock then unlock the tab a few times to get mine open, im guessing its the child lock

 

the actuator/locking device that has the three screws holding it in place that you see when you open a door may be a little too loose. if you can manage to get the door card out (which may result in damage to the card with the door closed) you could probably easily get the door open again. if its not worth it to you to fix, then leave it heh.

 

problem is im getting ready to sell and this is a bad deal for a for sale car.

i tried looking at the linkage/rods from inside with the door handle trim removed but they all looked attached. not sure how to get the exterior door handle off though
