Icon3 ecu jumper harness question

Ecu Question?

96-98 civic
d16z6 head/d16y7 block

p2e ecu switched to p2p
Right now my ecu plug is wired up to fit the p2p ecu.

Things done to the ecu plug:
-iacv sensor switched from 3 wire to 2 wire, switched the a14 to a12 and removed the orange wire a13 completely.
-vtec solenoid wired up a8
-vtec pressure switch vtps wired up to c15 and the black wire to the ground

Would i need to get the obd2b to obd1 ecu conversion jumper harness or would i need to get the obd2a to obd1 ecu conversion jumper harness?

Going to use the p28 since that's the ecu d16z6 uses.

Used the p2p but the car ran slower the the stock d16y7.

Please let me know thanks.

what year is the car? If it's a 99-00 you will need to move the pins if you want to use the obd2b to obd1 harness, which i would do just to avoid confusion

'96-'98 is OBD2A, '99-'00 is OBD2B. If your car is a '96-'98, you're on the right track and will need the OBD2A to OBD1 conversion harness. If your car is a '99-'00, then you did all the wiring incorrect, and will need to fix it before using the OBD2B to OBD1 conversion harness.

my homies car is 96-98 which is obd2a but i did the wiring to convert it to use the p2p ecu but that did not work very well for the d16z6. So now i am going to use the p28 and use the jumper harness.

lets say i put all the wiring back to its orginal spots and used the obd2a to obd1 jumper harness. Will it have all the wiring for vtec solenoid, vtec pressure switch and iacv sensor?
since i already wired up that would it be best if i used the obd2b to obd1 jumper? or should i just rewire it back to its origin? Thanks for the help.

You should just leave the wiring where it is now, and get the OBD2A to OBD1 conversion harness. The OBD1 engine and ECU you're using also uses a 2-wire IACV, so it should be fine. The jumper harness will have the wires correctly matched up. Completely forget about OBD2B, it has absolutely nothing to do with this particular setup.

Alright, sounds good! Yeah, i compared and contrast the obd2a and b and the b has all four harness and a has only 3. Thanks a lot. Now I gotta go look for a p28. Any suggestions? What are the codes for p28 with vtec for 5speed? Is it awl, arn?
