Crank pulley removal tool not fit????
Nope, it works on accords, civics, just not my year civic
I can't get the starter off. Next step is the chain wrench, here's to another $30 down the drain

do what i just did this past weekend on my k24 block. I got a hex pipe from Home Depot about $4. it has the same 6 corners as the crank puley and with a 2' breaker bar break it loose. not the best, but it worked. i could wait 1 wk for the damn tool.

From what I believed, but now I seen for myself they're not. That all 89 and up Honda/Acura's used the same 50mm Hex shape crank.
Nope. I just tried sticking an extension into one of those crank pulley holes, bent an extension and took a chunk out of the pulley. Goddamnit.
you got the right idea but the wrong area. you're supposed to stick a thick flat head in between the teeth of the flywheel to jam it.
Amazon and Ebay often sell the tool you need, too.
Go to a junkyard for another pulley.
remove your flywheel cover and look at the flywheel for tapped holes. on my b16 i can screw a couple bolts in there and use a pry bar to hold the motor. then i break the crank pulley bolt loose with a big ratchet and cheater bar (pipe). it will come loose!
also, it's hard to tell in your picture, but you may be able to put some kind of pin in the hole by your hand, making it work like that other tool that was posted.

save up and buy a compressor and air tools. they are invaluable if you do a lot of work on your car(s). a decent impact gun can usually take the bolt off without spinning anything.
no its not an automatic, its a 5 speed.
im going to lowes today to pick up the stuff needed for the homemade one. thanks for the links
