96 B18C1 into EG
Hey guys some plans have changed and now I'm looking into a GSR for my EG, but I've only been able to find a 96 OBDII motor. So I read through the FAQ's and it says that I need the OBDI fuel injectors and dizzy to convert it to an OBDI motor. Is that all that's necessary on the engine side? I'm gonna use an OBDI GSR ecu also if I can get my hands on one, the reason for all of this is cause I would like to get the car BAR'd and REF'd. Feel free the correct any/all of this,
Thanks.

Thanks.
passwordjdm.com has the B18 GSR OB1 full swap.

Well if you already have the obd II, then you can go to a junk yard or something and snag and obd I ecu and buy a piggy back harness. But you might also have to get different injectors, but i think the altenator can be wired differently so you won't have to buy one. I prefered to stick with obd II. I am recently going through a GSR swap in my EK4, and the guy doing it is hounding me to get an obd I ecu and piggy back but i'm a cheap *** lol.The GSR motor is a monster for small hatch's and older model civics. Good luck with it though
If you are buying a JDM B18C then you will want to purchase a USDM harness of the engines original OBD. If you get a OBDII engine then get a USDM OBDII harness and so on. The reasoning for this is either one will plug directly into your car's chassis harness. It wouldn't make since to cut up the harness when everything would simply plug in.
As far as an ECU goes, get a chipped P28 from www.phearable.net. For a little more then a stock ECU you can get chipped ECU with a better map. John is an excellent tuner and can setup it up according to your mods. I bought one for my LS/Vtec swap and it runs very well. There are also nice features like choosing your Vtec engagement and CEL shift light setup. I highly recommend them.
I just did a swap using an OBDII engine harness in my Eg hatch for my LS/Vtec. It is very straightforward. If you have any specific questions feel free to PM me.

That's also really expensive, and passwordjdm seems like they don't care too much about what they do. Both times I've ordered something from them, it's gotten messed up along the way.
