Ok so I have a ecu that I've had listed for sale that I've been recieving a few questions if its a true p30. I don't know how to identify it myself since there is no label on it. The only markings I can see is a date of September 1994 and then the stamp thing next to the ports.

I was told when I got it that it was a p30 with different fuel maps and lowered vtec engagement. Now I know for a fact that vtec does engage early because it was in the car when I test drove it and was told the car made 155whp with this ecu on a b17 with i,h,e and he showed me a dyno graph as well.

I took it apart and it appears to look factory, but I also don't really know what to look for. Here are a few pics of it, sorry the inside picture sucks I took it with my phone....







Any help would be great so I can finally get my story straight and know what I'm selling.

 

it a p28. The p30 has the knock board on the right top corner. It is also chipped.

 

Ohhhh ok. So with me still being a noob to ecu's would this be better or worse than a p30. Also I'm building my DA with a boosted b16, so would it be a good idea to just keep this ecu since I'm running a b17 ecu right now?

 

also how can you tell its chipped. by the eprom on the bottom right?
