Post need help with a timing belt for a h23head and f23 block

i need help with a timing belt. i use the stock h23 timing belt with the tenioner all the way up and its still lose so i dont know what belt to use for the project. someone please help.

File out the tensioner slot for more travel. That's the easiest way.

If you are using the H23 head I'd also use all the components that touch the belt from the H23...such as water pump and crank gear...double check part numbers to see if they are different...

the slack comes from the F23 water pump pulley. Either pull it apart and swap to an H23 water pump gear or file/grind out the slot on the timing tensioner bearing.
