Default 11k revs, is it necessary to upgrade valves?

i was on Toda's site and noticed they dont have valves in there line up. they just use stronger valve guides & egg-shaped/hi rate springs? does that mean honda's retainers and valves are good enough for hi compression and hi lift cams? please fill me in. i dont wanna break any HP records with my all-motor b-series build. i just dont wanna waste any money on replacing unneccessary parts.

so what cams and bore/stroke are you using to rev to 11 big ones on your not-turbo set up?

you know what, seriously, i want to know RIGHT NOW why the fu ck for the past 8 years on this website people seem to f ucking think you can just throw together a B series and rev it to 11k like its nothing?

people make no mention of horsepower goals or anything. just "i want to rev to 11k"

please explain to me who told you, or why you think youre going to rev to 11k? did you just get out of bed one morning and say "i want to rev a honda motor to 11 grand"?

I MUST KNOW

Somebody should build a Pro 3 B16 with a VictorX intake manifold just so that they can have a motor that wants to rev to 11k.

Here U go from Hungary... TWM 50mm ITBs, Pro3, Endyn pistons and girdle, IB ultralight rods, cheap 4-1 header, maybe supertech valves
It has seen several 11k runs.

The answer would be yes - upgrade your valves, valvetrain, and everything below it...then rev your nuts off.

well yes...the answer is yes you need valvetrain components, and then you need to get on the dyno and realize you only make power to 9k.

That's not a bad idea....

We could do it like one board I know of...where the "VIP" members have to VOUCH for you to get on the board. Keeps a bunch of the really dumb $hit away.

Screw the valve train!!!! I hope you have a cam with well over .500 lift to even try and make power up that high.. LOL Thats funny when I see people wanting to rev to the Moon with a DD.. Even a full blown race engine is difficult.. Good luck to you though...
