I have a 89 si obd-0 b16 that i recently purchased. only without knowing the dumbazz had blew 3of the cylinders which caused the car to overheat like krazy. So i take it in n had the head machined n replaced the damaged cylinders. i get it out the shop only a week ago. It ran totally fine 4 the next day then all of a sudden it started bogging out like krazy! everytime id get on the gas it was fine but as soon as it hits the normal temp it starts acting krazy n has no power at all, n it jus wants to sit there without budging. after i turn off the car n restart it, it regains a lil more power, well enough to get me out of the intersection where it died out on me on a freaking green light lol.. well i asked the mechanic who did the work n he said it wld be the fuel pump so i changed it out n changed out the fuel filter as well.. turns out it wasnt the fuel pump at all. i checked the spark plugs n there were freaking screwed! meaning it took forever to get them out so some1 overtighted the heck out of em! well anyways i finally get em out n there were toasted!.. replaced them later tht day n it ran really good! all of a sudden when i took it out 4 a spin.. it started boggin out on me again! :[. it had a half tank of gas so it wasnt tht. i have no clue wats goin on with it but it sputters like it wants to die then itll shake it off n regain power.. i also feel like all the power aint there too. it feels a lil soft wen i step on the gas n i know theres sumthin not rite?? cld it b my distrubutor or?? wld really appreciate sum help!!

 

im hoping you get an answer as well. ive had the same prob. with mine for a while too. got an obdo b16 in mine. drives fine for a while usually after about an hour or two of driving it all of the sudden looses power and starts to sputter. when i turn mine off and turn it back on it runs good for a while and will accassionally do it again. have new plugs. wires. and distrib. on mine. the weird thing is that the plugs show no sign of misfiring and the timing on the car is dead on the money. maybe we both can get an answer.

 

Without reading that bullshit screendoor, i'll say check the timing...

Try making sentances AND paragraphs, it makes things easier for everyone. I get to read the post and you get much needed practice at typing a good, proper post. Oh, and you might get more help, because i know alot of members just hit the back button as soon as they see crap like your original post.

 

dude i know it sux so much! it drives me freakin krazy wen i dk wats goin on wit my own car lol.. but the funny thing is that i threw a code 2 b4 this all happ wen it started acting funny but now the code is gone n idk if it was a faulty cel. could it b my secondary 02 sensor?? i dnt have 200 layin around 2 buy 1 so im hopin its sumthin else!
