Default Possibly coming back to the darkside- PY 01-0041 anyone???

I'm checking out a PY ITR locally tomorrow because yellow's the last USDM color choice that I haven't owned (I lied) and I really miss daily driving my R (that's true though...).

I believe it's on the third owner, local now, but from Washington State. Bone stock with new Direzza's and it's at 122k and looks very clean overall from the photos and the seller is tossing in a new unused carbon Spoon lip. What do those go for anyway, because I'd crack the hell out of it, in the first run back at the autocross with a cone at 40 miles per hour?

So anyhow, if anyone knows the scoop or a friend of a friend let me know.

thanks everyone!
Matt (< goes to search the registry thread)

LOL... hey Matt. You need to chime in to the M3 post further down the page. I know you have owned both and could provide a nice response.

Glad to hear you could be back in another ITR. You have been a mainstay in this community for a longtime and it will be good to see you in another.

Best of luck with things. EXPO this year?

YES MATT!! Knew you'd be back..again, and now again

At work now, so can't check the Registry for past history. Sounds familiar so I'm sure I came across the recent ad at least.

Matt, you need to do this. You know you want to, we knew you would be back, so if you can I say go for it! Are you coming to Expo?

Thinking about it... I could use the $600 a month (I'm in sales and the economy is really hurting everyone) plus I really do miss the R, especially at the autocrosses.

The M3 is really the nicest thing I've ever owned besides our home, but when I start to wonder if a $10,000 car would be be just as much fun and create less worry in terms of maintenance costs and replacements parts when they start to go, I really start to think more clearly. The cost of ownership on a stock ITR is soooo low speaking from experience, especially when you do your own maintenance.

Don't get me wrong, the M3 is drop dead gorgeous, very fast, and gets a LOT of compliments but it comes with a big sacrifice financially in these tough times.

Thanks a lot Jon! I saw that post and there's some great info in there. It seems like I'm not the only one with the same mentality that bigger and faster is not always better, just more expensive.

I'm not going to be making it the Expo but if I do get on the track this year, I'll probably do an HPDE with Tarheel at VIR or something like that.
