I have a 1989 Honda Crx SI and im wanting to put a b16 engine in it. Will i need a new transmission or will mine work thats already in the car???

 

D and B series are completely different. you will need a B16 or B18 transmission. don't forget axles, mounts, and shift linkage

 

yea your gonna have to get a b series tranny. i have an obdo b16a in my 88 rex with a y1 tranny. most likely your gonna have to get a 90-93 da integra axle for drivers side, and a 2000 civic SI axle for the passenger. for the shift linkage you can use a 90-93 integra shift linkage. at least that is what i have on my car. b series for the win. hope i helped a little. P.S. Hmotors online is a great website to get b series from. they will sell you the engine, tranny, axles, and computer with ur purchase for a good price and good reliability.

about the axles, sorry to butt in, but the guy I bought the car from said the axle pulls out of the trans when the wheel is turned all the way to either direction. wtf?

 

noooob of course you will need a different tranny a d series tranny will not fit a b series tranny buy the complete swap with axles and tranny
