Can a remote start/alarm be stealth installed?
Q: Can a remote start/alarm be stealth installed?
I would like to think it is possible, guess my question is how realistic is it. I have done a semi-stealth Viper 5002 install on a Integra under the rear quarter panel and did a fuel and starter kill. So I do consider myself competent, and am looking to up the ante. I just got a brand new used? haha, DC5 and this is going to be my first mod and I plan to do it right once. I just purchased the Clifford 50.7x with Backup battery, 507M Tilt Sensor, 506T I.T. Audio Sensor, Clifford Dual Zone Proximity Sensor, 2 513T Mini Piezo Siren, and lastly a Honda/acura Immobilizer Bypass for Remote Start.
So lets say It is not worth the remote start function, can the Clifford be tailored to work as a alarm only? Thanks for any help anyone can give, I have been reading many threads by SuspendedHatch and Wrx-killer-Sti-eater. They at times mention to use alarm only but, I was hoping since the 50.7x was the newest from the DEI camp that it would offer better options and security. "Opportunity makes the thief” -Proverb

I just wired mine, the only way I could see doing it "stealth" would be to split the ignition harness loom further up when it's behind the column not right at the connector near the switch, then to loom it all back up.
I actually think I'm going to undo mine, 5spd and I wasn't thrilled with my install (I'm sure it's more than acceptable, I just didn't like it + it gets rid of my stealthiness).

I'm pretty sure you can use it without the remote start. I sure hope so, I bought the newer viper 5901! Lol.
Last year I purchased the 5900sst w/ remote start. I have successfully installed it without the remote start feature. Seems to me that these newer models don't have the remote start satellite, it's built right in. You just have to figure out which wire/wires to use.

I have a feeling I will feel the same, having a remote start is a luxury that is not worth the Hansel and Gretel popcorn trail. I'll have to do more research, but I will keep your suggestion in mind, thanks for the info.

You can install the alarm and have it functional without connecting the remote start wires to anything. Just tag all the necessary wires in the car. Doors will lock/unlock, triggers will be sensed, lights will flash, etc etc etc... When you try to start the vehicle using the remote, nothing will happen.

Its more of a pia to do a stealth remote start. Also you need to bypass the main relay kill if you do remote start.
what i did before as a stealth instal is locate the brain behind the gauge cluster and as far as not using the remote start feature jus connect up the stater kill wire and the ignition1 wire and the the rest of the other ignition thik wires juss tape them up
