Default Mild build. Help please!!!!!

hey guys & gals i'm new to the site. I've been doing some reading and I want to do a lot of the stuff myself so thanks for any assistance. I'm currently doing a mild build (daily driver) I have a gsr block, a type r head and a b16 tranny. This is what I had in mind:

-gsr block w/ ctr pistons
-type r head with flat valves
-blox type b cams & cam gears
-skunk2 pro manifold
-blox fuel pressure regulator
-aem fuel rail
-4-1 jdm headers
-aem cai

any input would be greatly appreciated. If you guys can please tell me what to expect #s-wise it would be great also. Thanks!!

If you've done a lot of reading on this site you woudn't be going with this combination. There are better choices you can make for pistons.

You also never mentioned what tuning system you'll be using. Without one, your build is pointless.

and how would you estimate that? Look in the 1.8L dyno thread and I think you'll be surprised at how far off your estimation probably is.

I agree except for the headers... Spend a few extra bucks and get a hytech replica... I have a very similar build and the headers made a little more power and the look MUCH better... G/L with it

If properly built, it could be fun. Numbers wise, I'm no e-dyno. That is against the forum rules (bench racing). See the all-motor dyno thread at the top of the forum.

Thanks for the feedback fellas. As for tuning, i was thinking about a s200 or s300 but i'm not very sure on which one, if those, i should go with. If not ctr pistons, what would be recommended?

S200 can be found for cheap these days, s300 is more expensive but obviously good as well. USDM ITR, JDM ITR, or JDM b16a (p30) pistons are all good alternatives depending on what compression ratio you're shooting for.
