How to tell if cat is clogged
Is there a way to tell if a cat is clogged on a 00 civic without having to take it all apart. My car has had a loss of power for a while and checked everything else. It just seems sluggish and doesnt want to accelerate quickly anymore. I just dont want to go through the hassle of taking the exhaust apart as the bolts are always rusted.

hook up a vacum guage and see what its reading... a stock engine should be like 18hg or in that area of vacum.... if you have a clogged exhaust it will read kinda like 8 hg or so.... also that reading could mean retarted intake timing...
kev
new air filter, new plugs, wires are still good, changed oil, new pcv valve, new alternator, battery is good, new timing belt a while back, timing is on, new water pump.
