so i bought a modded 96-98 harness and they were smoking crack when they did the harness so its all ****ed up. all the connectors are the wrong kind so nothing fits right and theres missing and extra connectors everywhere!

so basically i need a color code chart for a 96-98 ex harness so i can cut splice and fix this douchebags **** ups. i searched for HOURS on multiple websites and theres nothing! so dont say search!

 

you wont find the diagram your looking for with out a haynes manual or buy a diagram off the internet. Ive had the same problem. Did they send you the correct harness? is it a auto harness for a manual car?

 

no its def a manual harness.... upon further inspection it actually looks like a dx harness with vtec wires and knock wires spliced into it. looks like most of that was done correctly but theres TONS of extra plugs... at least 4 or 5 without a home. alot of 2 wire rectangle shaped plugs. the whole harness seems to be missing the coolant fan sensor plug... either that or for some crackhead reason the maker put a rectangle harness and used the wrong color wires....also the creator had no conception of wire length.... my injector plugs barely reach my oil press switch doesnt reach my MAP and TPS both have about an inch of slack off the injectors... lol....

so i think what i may need is a 96-98 DX harness color guide.... maybe thats more available?

 

I'm kind of thinking its an automatic harness, pics would be really helpful.

 

how do you tell if its an auto harness? is there a plug i should look for or something that will indicate that?

the extra wire would make sense if it was for an auto i have one in my 5speed and its all messed up

 

i think im gonna scrap this idea and chop up my current cx harness for vtec and knock sensor.... im gonna post a new thread but il ask here as well.... how do you, or is there a how to thread on pinning your ecu connectors? and where do i get those pins from to do so?
