f20c into my civic ej8 need help installing
im looking into buying a f20c. i already got a boosted b18c and i boosted it 22psi on a fully built motor i know all there is about installing a bseries but what about a f series ive never even thought of it and i was told that the motor is already ready for boost. so i was wondering if anyone had a link or instructions on how to install a f20c into a civic thanks

From: TRILLINOIS....WAY downtown, jerky.
This is the biggest waste of time. Is there a shortage of motors that just bolt into the civic chassis?
There's 2L or bigger bolt in swaps....why the hell would you do a F20C?
A K20 swap would probably be cheaper and DEFINATELY easier.
A H22 would definately be both cheaper and easier.
The F20C probably won't make 240hp in a civic chassis anyway. You'll have to change the header and exhaust design and you'll probably lose power. They put a F20C into a miata and lost a shitload of HP because the exhaust routing was different. I guess since you're going to boost this...it might make power anyway...but still...why the F would you do this?
Yes, the F20C/22C has forged internals and there are guys running almost 600whp on stock internals. But you could build a K20 and put it in for less effort.
It's been done before, though. There was some shop EG running around with a F20. Google F20 EG or something. You use a F to K adapter so you can use the K series trans. Then there's a ton of custom built parts.

well everyone is doing k swaps figured id try something new i can get a f20c motor and ecu and mounts for 2500 and its only got 40k miles on it. can u even imagine a civic ej with 600whp boosting high boost with mad 2 step how u guys gona tell me a k would be better. i already am building a 10 sec b18c coupe but i want to build aNOTHER LOW 10 SEC COUPE but i guess i could just build the k series or just build the k series type r or just the type r b18

1. they dont even make mounts for sale yet for the f20c into a front wheel drive car. inline pro had the engine in an eg running and moving but i havent heard anything else besides that.
2.your building a 10sec coupe but u want to build another 10 sec coupe at the same time? dude quit trolling, your story sounds like total b.s.
3.i would like to hear how much u think it would cost to have a 10 sec car that can actually make a few 10sec passes without breaking. i dont think u got the cash for 2 different cars like that.
half the 08 and 09 accounts are straight up trolls looking for attention.
If you come in here asking questions like this, then you'll NEVER have a 10 second car, let alone 2 of them. That is unless you have a rich mommy and daddy who give you all the money you want, and you paid someone to do all the work for you. Save your daydreams of unusual swaps and you're 10 second garbage for the new Fast & Furious movie coming out. I'm sure that movie will give you some more ideas to think about.
Give the guy some slack he getting ready for Fast & Furious 4. I mean I understand, who doesn't want to be an extra for Race Wars........
wow your seriously going to ask us how to install an s2k rear wheel drive motor into a car? there arent even alot of people on here that even tried to attempt this swap. you need to leave it to the pros otherwise unless your a pro yourself because its going to end up costing you alot of money on the way so you might as well invest in an s2k for now.. or at least take on a K series because those are way easier to do than an s2k motor.

Apparently you had the time to post up all these other questions that didn't pertain to answering his question. At least Serious while in a way ridiculing gave him information he could use. If you don't want to help him regardless of how you feel about him or his generation of posters, it's not difficult to skip. It wasn't a thread of opinion and if I had an answer for him I'd give it instead of telling him in a--hat way I don't know.
dont feed the trolls.
why should i have given answers when when his post is half bull ****. idid give him info. they dont sell mounts for that motor in front wheel drive setup yet. what do u want me to tell him go and make some customs mounts? someone that says something like "600whp with mad 2step" probably isnt capable of making his own mounts. he's a troll looking for attention. "i already am building a 10 sec b18c coupe but i want to build aNOTHER LOW 10 SEC COUPE" enough said right there. stop trying to be a forum hero, if he asked if it was possible to do a f20c swap in a civic i would have given links to inline pro's thread cause they have a front wheel drive f20c in a eg that actually works instead he throws in a ton of b.s. which makes me believe he's a troll.
dont feed the trolls.
dont feed the trolls.
Also, if hes able to build himself a 10 sec car then he shouldn't be on honda-tech asking questions like how do I put an f20c in my civic.. that is so ridiculous I mean there's no instructions on how to do it.. its rare.. besides someone who built himself a 10 sec car should know his way around a honda.. meaning all possible swaps without a question.
btw I made my honda-tech account in 08 but that doesnt mean I started working on hondas in 08.. Ive been on it since 02.. just something to think about for next time :]
understood. theres plenty of new member that make this place better and share there knowledge to others.
We're not saying it's totally impossible. All of us here agree that it's possible, some of us are just assuming that the OP does not have the mechanical sophistication nor the monetary means required to take on such a project. There are no write ups or mount kits made by Hasport, or any other company for that matter, currently on the market to facilitate that type of endeavor. In other words, if one does it, it would be totally custom and they'd have to have access to a multitude of tools that a performance garage, like inlinepro.com, would have in order to even begin to attempt the swap. If one did have the tools and the know-how, one wouldn't post a question in an internet forum on how to do it. You'd just do it and then post pics/vids and a write-up about it.
u guys are seriously rediculouse. u act like a 10 sec coupe is hard to get im running a fully build b18c on 26psi and i run 10s all day and its my dd. and u can put the f20c into a coupe i just did it last nite just to prove everybody wrong. had to use accord tranny and fabricate all the mounts and brackets. i took pics on how to install everything i am the owner of a shop but ive never done a f series thats y i figured i would ask if anyone else did it. and no **** 600hp in a civic would be gay. im pushing 5 and its crazy hard to get traction even wth slicks. but i will post the pics of me and my crew puttuing the f20c in and starting it up and i will show a video of it too. i have alot more to do but it took us since the day i posted this until now to get the motor in and tranny bolted on and started up. the harness was realy hard i DO NOT SUGEST THIS SWAP FOR ANYONE . if u dont own a garge dont do it bc theamount of work compared to the power out put just stick with a b series we are boosting this f series and gona run it sometime at the end of april i will post a video if it running. i got the motor for free to preform the swap from another shop by me they helped and we are doing a team car that we are going to c what we can push out before t blows. so for all the haters just dont bother coming back and to everyone else the pics and videos will b up shortly
only reason i posted this forum was to cee if there were people or places building the custom mounts bc i didnt want to do it myself. but now that i teamed up and we knocked this project out its all good now. i built my 10 sec coupe with a b series so ya i no my way around a b seies honda but i didnt know anything about rwd motor in a fwd car so u guys dont gota b DI**S bc i asked a question dood. this swap will cost well over 10 grand so no one do it not worth it but if u got the extra cash and u want to learn how to fabricate well and then go ahead and give it a shot we had 2 shops with 10 people each building this and it took us a week to get it this far car starts runs and goes into gear and drives on the dyno. the axles also were a pain and really wierd to install but only another week untill it is complete and going to track unboosted then to the track on boost.
ill wait for pics. hard to believe u can do this swap overnight.
what flywheel and clutch setup u use?
what did u do for the intermediate shaft?
what did u do for header?
what did u do for wiring? does your rpm's, speedo, and coolant temp work?
what mounts did u use? cant tell me u made total custom mount from start to finish inserts and all.
what axles?
you are either the fastest learner i know or your toally full of ****. last year you didn't even know how to take the engine out of your car now your doing custom f20c swaps.

the swap can def be done but i dont think by you.

First off you can't get your info straight, even after posting it a few minutes previously. First you say it's done and running on a dyno, then you say it's going to be another week, then you say at the end of April. You say it's taken a week to do, you also said it took as long as your first post in this thread (2 days is not a week genius). Your 10 second civic is running ar 22psi, and then 26psi, which are pretty specific numbers to just throw out. You claim to ha ve gotten the engine, ecu and mounts for $2500, then apparently you got them for free. And apparently you simply bolted the engine to an Accord transmission, even though the block WON'T bolt right up to another F-series or K-series transmission. Anyone with any intelligence knows that you're full of it. Just STFU and GTFO.
Waiting for "Mr.INVALID save a ****" to chime in. But just look at the pictures he posted in his profile a civic with a gsr motor. If I had this bad *** civic pushing 22 or 26 lb of boost whatever he keeps changing it to, why would I post pictures of a regular civic with a gsr motor in it? Also he posted on the 25th about thinking of buying a f20c and now 2 days later he got that car up and running, but changes to it'll take another week or some bs.
