looking for the clear yellow spray paint for headlights
like the tittle says, i found it on inline4.com for like $35, and i just need a little bit to do my high beams, anybody have a can they would sell??
Krylon, Find a hobby store that sells transparent/stained glass paint.
It's around $6 a can, more then enough to do your highbeams and more.

i think it looks ugly painted. if you really want yellow high beams, why not just get yellow 9005 bulbs?

I do mine permanently by first scuffing my headlights(both lows and highs) with like 1000 grit. Then I wax and grease remove them, then spray with a few coats of good clear. Then I let them dry good and sand them with 2000 grit, again sanding both sides. Next you mask off the lowbeam and spray highs with sunshine yellow candy until the desired tint is acheived. Then I unmask the low and re clear the whole headlight. Looks like these

then clear

Then sand again and finish!

it's a great project but your seriously not getting the life out of it. the yellow hid trick is a much longer trick. i agree with the grit and waxing/buffing technique. i recently purchased a 3m kit for $15 @ advance auto. used my hnad drill on low rpm and it works majestically. added the hid kit and my visibility increased by 50%.
gl to you and always be safe bc headlights are not joke to mess up.

This isn't a wax/buffing thing. It real auto clear and auto paintm waxing or polishing only lasts about a year. I cleared mine first and let them dry then sand the clear and paint yellow so that the yellow doesn't get embedded into the actual plastic on the headlight. It has that layer ofclear under it so if I decide to take the yellow off I can just wetsand it a lil and will come right out without sanding more plastic off my headlight. I love painted headlights cuz bulbs are gay as **** and not everyone can do a hid. Its the pure fact of a yellow lense that people find the freshest(unless u like bulbs...) my 2 cents
The paint is made by house ofkolor and is called sunshine yellow candy, and for clear I used PPG dc3000 clear. You can pick it up at your local car paint store. Not autozone or napa but an actaull paint store

eeew yellow high beams... ricer : )
....but seriously GO the LaminX route. If you ever do get sick of them it is REMOVABLE. Krylon is what I used, and I'm regretting it because I no longer want the yellow highbeams. If you really don't care just paint it with some Krylon Transparent paint from a craft store. If you change stuff up a lot, and this whole JDM trend suddenly becomes uncool you'll wish you had LaminX.

go to your local sticker/sign shop and get a sheet of laminate or vinyl in transparent yellow thats what i did and you can peel it off if you end up not going for that look anymore
