The site is coming along nicely, the forums are built, the backend is built, we're just looking for content. You can take a look at the final pre-release design, what we need and how to reach me here: http://accordinglydone.myip.org/

If you can't see it, don't panic. That just means our firewalls clash. You'll be able to reach the site at it's permanent location when done.

not a fan of flash intros, they take too much time to load. Unecessarily 'flashy' IMO.

 

yeah. on dial up flash is a bitch. and even on broad band its only cool the first time. after that its a waste of time. especially at a site like your assembling. chances are you're out under your car trying to get that tranny in, or can't a rotor off... so you run inside to check the site for help... and you have to wait for the damn intro...

but if it was an intro of a barage of accords then that would be cool... just include a 'skip' link

Maybe when the site first loads, you have a choice of a link to the flash site, or html version.

For those of you concerned about load times, take note that there are NO images on the site, barring the gallery, and the forum at first. After I get the forum style refinished, it will match the rest of the site, being full html.

And of course I'd have a 'skip intro' link. Don't underestimate my common sense.

yeah, mar, ill upload some of my work to a server and let you check them out, my idea was for, a skip link naturally, and to have a new intro every so often so that it would no get old and boring, then, if you ever decided, to have a splash page with a flash version and a html version of the site.... just some ideas.....
