ok i have a 1990 honda civic si and planning on putting a b16 jdm and having it bared. i have a b16 obd0 jdm motor & a broken 1994 b16a3 del sol motor. i'm using all the parts from the del sol and putting them on the b16 jdm so i can have it bared. the only thing i can't find is a p30 ecu obd1 from a del sol. i do have a 96-98 honda del sol p30 ecu obd2. so my ? is can i use the p30 obd2 ecu on the motor and have it bared? and i'm planning on getting rywire obd0 to obd2a ecu conversion harness for a 88-91 honda crx civic. so will the work? any help will be great and thanx

Not if you're using all OBD-1 emissions equipment.

For BAR inspection, you MUST have all original USDM emissions equipment from the car that the engine was taken from.

Good luck finding a USDM OBD-1 P30 ECU; they're extremely uncommon.

 

wont a p28 work? or will that not pass the bar? also if the block is a obd0 b16 wont it require the obd0 ecu (if the ecu has to match the engine) ? sorry i dont know much about the cali requirements if its a stupid question...
