d16z6 o2 sensor
Yes, the O2 tells the ECU the oxygen level in the exhaust and the ECU adjusts fuel based on that. If your o2 is not plugged in, or is dirty, or not working then your car will bog down like that which also ruins your emissions. It's best if the O2 sensor is in working order.

Remove the ECU fuse from the under-hood fuse box for about 15 seconds or more. Then put it back in, and start the engine. Let the engine run for around 5 minutes without touching the throttle. You should then be good to go.
okay its smoking and smells like gas lol this is a good sign right????

smoking and smells like gas after what?
did you reset the ECU?
if you did, the gas smell should be normal because you have reset the ECU and the engine is going to run rich for a little while until the ECU adjusts itself enough.

is it still smoking?
what color is the smoke?
the smoke may just be it running rich. I'd say it's probably safe to drive it now. Driving it will help the ECU self-adjust more. I'd take it for a 10-15 minute drive.

is it still smoking as of now?
did it always smoke or did it start whenever you reset the ECU?
If it is still smoking, what color is the smoke, and what does it smell like (be careful not to inhale)
please answer all questions

never smoked until reset of ecu and not sure of color id say whiteish and has a gas smell to it...well car is off and when i stopped to see if it was smoking it wasnt
Smoking should be fine then, and it should go away as the ECU adjusts itself.
What's the temperature outside? Perhaps the current outdoor conditions are exaggerating the amount of smoke produced from running rich.

The bogging and power loss are probably not going to go away by themselves, just the smoking.
I would try a basic tune up: spark plugs (NGK V-power), spark plugwires (only if they're not in good condition), distributor cap and rotor.

okay but its strange cuz after i changed my entire exhaust and headers and left out the o2 sensor it started to bog very little at a time and just got worse what would cause this to happen???
