Default FD2 Type R Header

I was just wondering if the Civic Type R in Japan came with a better flowing header than the Si and if it would bolt on or not? I was looking to get a header but a Cat is a must that actually passes emissions. Thanks

Have you thought about the Vibrant header with a high flow cat?

depending on how your emissions are checked, you might be able to get away with no cat. in my area all they do is hook up the computer to the obd2 port, nothing else. if that's what they do in your area, you can do a race header with a defouler, otherwise as already mentioned get a header with a high flow cat. i have no idea if the ctr header bolts up or not, but i'm sure it doesn't flow as good as aftermarket headers.

you will also need the exhaust to make it work.

The header will bolt up but your better off with a buddy club race header and a test pipe then a good exhaust system

Yeah all they do is hook is hook up to the obdII port, but I think they might also do the sniffer in the exhaust. So would the Vibrant with the HFC pass this sniffer test or not?

I agree. It's to my understanding that the FD's and FA's cats are different lengths and therefore will not mate correctly.

yes, with a high flow cat it should pass the sniffer test.
