hey guys i have a 97 teg rs the other day when i started my car it started idling weird(like it wanted to shut off) and then the check engine light started to flash off and on, then juss stayed on. the ecu code read piston 3 misfire. the following day on the road when i accelerated the rpm gauge worked fine but the mph didn't react properly. and once again idled weird. my buddy said all i needed was a tune-up spark plugs, cap and rotor things like that. any suggestions?

 

I'd agree with him a tune up of ur igniton system usually fixs that problem. Cap, rotor, plugs (ngk), and wires im sure shell be running like a champ again.

 

something similar happened to me a while back....did you wash your engine? Because if you did then maybe water got down to the spark plug, that's what happened to mine.
