Default Turbocharger engine modifications?

Ive been looking to buy a new civic si. If i do decide to go ahead and get one, i would like to put a turbo on it. I only have one concern though. Will I have to strengthen the bottom end or does it come strong from the factory and turbo ready?

Thanks.

hhmmm....Well I'd say with an 8,000rpm redline and reflashable ecu that Hondata feels safe enough to allow it to rev to 8,600rpms, so yeah I'd say it comes pretty strong from the factory.

But why would you think bottom end? And you only have one concern? You have alot of homework to do. There are many more concerns if you plan on turboing your si. Actually bottom end is definitely not a concern.

Yeah, i have lots of concerns, but the bottom end was my biggest. I will do a ton of research before i decide to buy.

Ok. So you haven't done any research yet. Just making sure. Just thought you'd get an easy answer huh?

hey turbo dick why dont you not be such an *** to the guy?

OP if you wanna turbo your civic i would suggest doing some reasearch. But anycar that dosnt come from the factory with a turbo on it and you turbo it, you should have concern. Look into waht kit you want to run and look into how you are going to drive the car....Hard?DD?Weekend?. Depending on how much power you want to run I would sugest doing some internal work and making sure you get all the proper accessories to go along with it.

GL with your decision.
