Headers for a B18C5 motor...
Anything will give you more power than a DC (sometimes even stock). I have try Y and couldn't be happier, but I was looking at the narrow tube RMF style ones on the marketplace (looks sick, but haven't seen anyone I know using them).

not unless you need to be C.A.R.B. approved of smog. A while back Honda Tuning did a test that showed DC's produced something like 2hp over a gsr header and -5hp over the type r header.
if you are gonna upgrade your exhaust go with Bisimoto or a JDM Type R header. If not then don't throw away the money on a DC (ebay headers net you more power).

You didnt say you wanted to stay C.A.R.B legal. Which today most smog stations and cops in CA dont care about that anymore. I have been to smog stations in the past that would not pass my cars even with a CARB number. And cops will check and still write people up. CARB legal or not. If you want a CARB legal header, stay with the DC.
well i just want to know how much it cost but i dont have a price range... i think that is a different story.. right?!
anyhow, how much hp does a type r header add?

Just get a header that people you know have had success with. I would recomend try y, but you need to modify a few things (they are longer). Type R is your best bet.
imo: California Air Resource Board approval is a joke. To be carb approved the Co. selling the header needs to send it in and pay out the behind, for a sticker that a cop will still send you to the referee for. (C.A.R.B. approved means it will hook up to the stock CAT, so only 2" dia.)

It would be my suggestion for the ~$500 price range.
For < $800, I'd go with the Skunk2
For > $800, the properly sized SMSP would be my choice. Be ready to shell out ~$1100 for one of Dave's stainless masterpieces.
All 3 of the ones I suggested are stainless steel.
C.A.R.B. Legal.....what a waste! California FTL!
How many of you poor CA residents have caught Hell for having a JDM ITR header w/ heat shields, etc?
Surprised no one has mentioned the toda header. It was made for the b18c5 and has awesome midrange gains. That much for an itr header? I just sold mine for 200 and even had a hard time selling it.
