i'm finishing up my b16 swap in my 88 si and the harness i have has an 8-pin connector (driver side strut tower, next to resistor box) and the 6 pin plug for my resistor box.. but my car has two 6 pin plugs

i've searched and everything i've found has been with the 8-pin plug

 

Is the motor harness one from an OBD1 car by chance?

 

Are you trying to use the harness that came with the engine?

You need to use the stock 88 Si wiring harness for your car
and add the four extra wires for the vtec,secondary o2 sensor etc..

 

no the harness is from obd0

and my stock harness was more of a nightmare than the one that came with the motor

 

so basically i'm trying to use a 89-91 harness on the 88
i just cut the plugs and spliced the wires back
but i have a blue wire left over for the facv (which to my understanding is not used) on the engine side.. and a yellow/black wire left on the car side.. what do i do with them/?
