Currently i have a ls vtec swap in my 93 del sol running 9 lbs with a jackson racing supercharger kit self tuned probably pushing slightly over 200 whp. Amazingly enough ive gotten one full season out of the exedy oem replacement clutch.
This season i have purchased a 96 spec integra type r lsd transmission (brand new), and i am planning on running the stepper pulley and going up to 12lbs of boost, aem water injection, and a dyno tune with hondata. aiming for around 260 whp and 180 ft lbs, this car is an everyday driver so im looking for a clutch that is good for the street but also can take some 1/4 mile track runs. Everyone knows the power band on a turbo set up is much different than a supercharged b18 so please if you have an answer dont relate it to a turbo vehicle.
I have driven cars with act, competition, and exedy set ups and and so far im most pleased with the feel of the exedy on a low whp supercharged car. Any input or advice would be appreciated.

This is what I will be using. I too have a daily. Stock engagement is great but there will always be a compromise for grip and drive ability.

A quick question:

Did you buy the JR kit for a B18C or B16? Did you piece it together? Was there anything different considering the LS/Vtec configuration? I too have an LS/Vtec and have been considering a JR kit. I just wasn't sure what kit to look at considering I have a LS bottom with a B16 head. Input is appreciated. I'm not trying to jack your thread. You can just PM me if you like.

id go exedy stage 2 or some other stage 2 clutch maybe even stage 3

 

I purchased the kit as a whole used with everything i needed, i am running a 96 gsr head on a 96 ls block nothing was needed extra for the jrsc to bolt up, just make sure the kit you get matches up with head you are running, since the jrsc kit is basically a new intake manifold with a blower hanging under it the block could be gsr b20 ls
