GSR head....with AEBS manifold
There are no straight answers if i have to change the intake manifold studs or not.
Its a stock GSR head with gsr manifold.....i wanna swap the AEBS manifold on but before i tear it apart i wanna be sure i have the correct studs. Some say stock intake manifold studs are too short. I am going to use a stock GSR gasket so i don't see why it would not fit.
Please help, and yes i found all the DIY on this but they all use hondata gasket. I am not sure if thats why they use longer studs or not.

measure the thickness of your stock manifold, and your aebs manifold. that should tell you how long studs you need. thats what i did for my turbo exh manifold.
i have a aebs manifold on a gsr head and the studs were long enough to secure it tightly to the head.a gsr gasket would work but for an extra 20-30 bucks u might as well get a hondata gasket.really makes a difference!
How many turns or thread would you say it caught using stock studs?
Did you transfer the TB studs over or did you use new ones?
I put one on a friends car with a OEM gasket and OEM studs and it was fine. I personally used a hondata gasket and ARP studs. But why not upgrade to the gasket? It makes a big difference.
