Default I need some help guys!!! what should i do?

I currently have an automatic 95 Acura Integra and Im thinking of selling it. The question Im asking is if I should buy a 3rd gen ls and make it ls-vtec or just go straight for a 3rd gen gsr? Which one is better in the long run? which one will i be spending more? What do u guys think?

Hmmm, that's a tough decision. Honestly, I like my LS special. I drive stick though. The tranny has a longer gear ratio but weak in some aspects. They are a little more fragile than the GSR trannys. The GSR has a shorter gear ratio for faster pull. Better for short drags but your 5th gear has no range. From what I hear though the V-tec 1.8C1 is excellent when it comes to horse power. I also hear the 1.8B bottom end paired with the 1.8C1 head is a monster combo.
When it comes to spending. It all depends on how you want your ride. If your serious about building just go for quality and make a long project. Store it, tear down, and rebuild. It really all depends on your preferences. For some good unique parts to build your Teg, get onto PasswordJDM.com. It's definitly Honda heaven. My biggest warning though is be prepared for having a car thats very hard to find used parts for. Third Gens. are either found smashed/stripped, stolen, driven by some old dude who's just rusting it out, or like my own. Pulled apart in a garage awaiting for the next part to ship in.
Tegs are definitly fun but even better when you have the full manuel experience. Just be prepared for hard work ahead of you.

Also, whatever you do. Don't buy a previously built one unless you've taken a fine tooth comb over it. Trust me, I learned the hard way when I bought a riced out Mits Eclipse from some kid. Always beware the to good to be true.

Well, hope this helps.-blue

P.S. DSM sux

i would be cheaper and more reliable to go with a GSR in my opinion. but it all depends on what your willing to spend and if you really want to work on the car or not. Ls/Vtec will have more more over the GSR if you get the right parts and not sum cheap parts from a cheap little shop. It all depends. Im go B20/Vtec MAYBE

Very true, the GSR is known to be the "bullet proof tranny". You can beat the hell out of em and they'll still keep going. You shouldn't have as much maintnace problems with them either.
