Default how can i adjust my cam gears

wassup everyone I have one 2000 gsr with buddyclub4 cams and buddyclub cam gears and dont know how adjust it. my friend told me to advanced it 3 degrees to the radiator but I have a honda/acura engine performance book and seed many motors seem to like having the intake advanced 4-5 degree and retarded the exhaust 1-2 degree so I dont know what to do can any one tell me what to do? thanks

Honestly, since you have to ask I would say take it to a shop and have them do it. I'm not trying to be rude but it would be the safer bet because timing isn't something to play with.

Why do you want to adjust them anyway? Do you think you will gain power? Are you on the bottle? etc?

DO NOT ADJUST THEM YOURSELF!!! Have a competent tuner adjust them while dyno tuning.

Adjusting them yourself is a pointless venture and you could very well end up losing power. No 2 engines are the same, so you CAN NOT use the settings from someone else's car or what your friend or some book told you.

Keep them set to 0 degrees of adjustment until you can get them tuned on a dyno.

ok ill take it to one shop and put it on the dyno thaks everyone for the help.
