I have a 95 Gsr with a smsp 2.5" magnaflow exhaust and my resonator got crushed a little on the bottom. It's making terrible buzzing at 2500 rpm so I decided I'm going to buy a new one. At the same time I figured I would just get a new muffler too because this one is quite intensely loud. I have the standard 2.5" inlet outlet universal straight through muffler.

Whats the most reasonably quiet muffler I could get without having to buy a full catback? Does anyone have dimensions as to what can be put under there without hanging super low?

Also, where would be the cheapest place to buy these parts? Best I have found so far is magnaflowparts.com which is cheaper then ebay(at least before shipping).

Heres some research I did. My goal is to find the muffler with the most cubic inches possible to fit under my teg.

From what I see the megan racing muffler looks to be my best bet for getting a muffler that would be a good bit quieter, fit well, and be reasonably priced.
Unless of course if you guys think the 5x11x22 magnaflow would fit.

look for exhaust systems or mufflers that advertise low dB rating. for example greddy has a low 92 or 93 dB system. your research looks extensive so you should have no problem making a decision.

Yeah I have done some reasearch on that site too. I intend to have it all rewelded with flanges so I can remove everything individually if there is a problem again. I wanted to have it all this way incase these kind of problems come up but the welder didn't understand or care. Not sure which one.
