I have a 93 2.3 litre and today the car broke down on the motorway it seemed to me like a fuel problem so I changed fuel filter incase it had finally had enough, error codes show 62 which is as they say a job for another day.the car when off let it sit for 2 seconds turn ignition key on let it go through the cycle then turn the last bit to start and it starts but if it revs over 1,400 rpm it dies but it will sit there idling for as long as you want it to providing you dont touch the acelerator the new fuel filter is in and has made no differance the only thing that has changed my wife was driving it and put 20 litres of fuel in it could it be the fuel as the only error code is 62 that comes up.

 

for anybody that wants to know what the problem was fuel system checked out with flying colors found some cracks in the body of the coil so I replaced that and still didn't work so I changed the ICM (ignition control module) and know all is fine.
