Default clutch cable problems

ok well im nearly done with my ls swap into a 90 std hatch and im to connecting the clutch cable to the transmission. i have heard many times that the stock cable will fit and be functional, but no matter how much i pull that cable is not fitting... is there anything that i need to modify to make it work or do i just need a different one? thanks

what you do is unbolt the bracket that holds the cable, slip the cable in, then re bolt the bracket back in place with the cable on it. Its a cheap trick for getting a stubborn cable on.
