brand new block w/ all internals preassembled, and complete head straight from honda w/ 0 miles on them? How much do you think this is worth? I might be able to buy one, just want to know how much you guys would pay for it?

Well if a used one goes for around 5k, then a totally brand new block head and tranny would be worth about 7k to me, but I dont have enough money for either.

 

I would think Honda would sell a brand new one for $7999.00-$9999.00. And I am sure a bunch of people would order them. Nothing like knowing you are getting a pure motor from its mother.

 

wow, if ppl are willing to pay 7-9k, ill just put it up for sale, I dont need it right away anyways.

Brand new type-R engine from Honda? I say, if you have to ask, you can't afford it

 

you can in europe, but only if you have documentation to prove you actually own a ITR, i know a guy (idiot) that drove his Uk ITR for months on end without checking the oil and ran the sump dry and siezed his engine, he was quoted £4900-£5000 stg (cant remember exact price) so thats about $8000 give or take a few $

 

I'd pay between 5-6k, but I know that they would probably demand more for a brand new one. Right now I just want a brand new JDM Type-R Tranny, wonder how much that would cost or even about the availability/possibility to get one? Well, enjoy

 

I am still trying to decide if spending that much for a new motor is stupid or insane?

My buddy just bought a complete type r head for 1550 brand new from local shop. They got it from local dealership, we were there when the lady dropped it off!

 

a little of both. 10K into almost any motor would make it more powerful and just as reliable as a ho hum B18C5.

 

I paid $1520 for a new R head, intake manifold, and red valve cover, shipped.

Shortblocks are $2350 new complete.. whats that... about 4 grand for a new longblock, give or take.

 

about $3150 picked up from the warehouse near Toledo.

Yes, I hauled one back to Cincy.

 

I can't say I would pay anything over 4k for the b18c5, new or not, it's just not worht the cash.

 

it would be nice to have a brand spankin new motor...****...it'll be so sparkly and clean, you could probably see your reflection in it

 

You can almost see your reflection in my b18A. Its about 11 years old. When its done being built, it'll cost near $5000. I looking for close to 500hp. I dont think a new Hype-r is worth ****.

 

Are we talking K series or B series here?
