Finally finished EG project car
Two years and all that money are finally over. My swap into a 95 Hatch is finally complete. The car can be seen at the following web page:

Extremely nice write up. The total cost page is a great touch. It's funny how all the little things add up. I think it will be a great reference page for people who want to do a full build but no idea how to budget.
Thanks for the kind words....It has been a nice trek and the car is a blast to drive!
I'm searching all the sites trying to decide what my next project will be. I am seriously considering an all electric Hatch. I already know the car pretty well, they are light weight, and they have a nice area for batteries. Hmmm.....That will probably mean I will have to sell the car which will be tough (tough to part with and tough to get a reasonable price).

Nice, I'm in the process of building mine, and it gives me a few ideas. Oh yeah, the EG is not OBD0, the EG was always OBD1. That's it.
Very nice again. Hope mine turns out as good.
How hard was it to mount the antenna, and where did you get it? I'm from the Seattle area as well.

No such thing as a JDM B18C GSR engine, the JDM B18C (non-type r) is from a JDM Integra Si VTEC or Integra SiR. Also, the Type-R and the "JDM GSR" engines are both B18C.

I believe the antenna is a factory replacement for a VW of some model. I simply located where along the top I wanted the antenna and drilled a small pilot hole, and progressively drilled larger holes until I reached the desired diameter. I removed the headliner trim at the tail gate and inserted a small piece of woof to hold the headliner away from the drill bit. Then I used an electricians "fish tape" to pull a new coax cable from the existing antenna to the new location. You can buy a splice kit, but I prefer to solder the connections myself and use heat shrink tubing (connect the center wire and tie the shielding wires together separately).
Seattle is a beautiful town! My mother lives a few miles away in Redmond so I get out there a few times each year.
